About / Introduction

Thank you for visiting my site.

My name is Steve Jenkins and I'm an amateur photographer based in Bristol. My primary passion is aviation and the images shown on this site are a selection captured whilst attending air shows over the last few years. The site name - www.arrowsandafterburners.co.uk reflects the fact that I particularly enjoy photographing the world famous Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows and modern military fighter aircraft from across the world.

In terms of camera gear my equipment has changed a lot over the years. Early photos were taken with a Canon 40/50/60D and a Sigma 50-500, then moving on to a 100-400L and then a 70-300L lens. In 2012, I switched over to Nikon using a D300S with a fixed 300mm F4 lens. Currently I am still using my 300m F4 prime, but with a new Nikon D7100.

Please feel free to look around the site and take a look at a selection of my photos. Please do not hesitate to contact me / leave feedback if you like what you see.
